Telfer Live
Nov 13th/2009 The Buzz around Fredericton this Friday night was all about the Halifax group Telfer. They had an afternoon interview with Crash from 105.3 the Fox. I had seen Telfer a few times before but never with this much hype behind them. They took the stage very late in the night being after 1am to a packed crowd. Telfer put on a good show but their Bass play Jon Goud put on an amazing show. The grooves that Goud lays down are hard to beat in the east coast music scene. As they moved through tracks off their new album "Born This Morning" the highlight of the show for me was the track "I Would If I Could" which showcases some of the most solid low end I've heard in indie bands from the Maritimes. This is a band that has grown a lot since their 'Galaxie Rising Star" win at the '08 Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival.
I reccomend anyone who wants to see a bass clinic go out and see Telfer.
